According to the National Centre for Seismology (NSC), an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 shook the Andaman Sea on Tuesday. The earthquake happened on Tuesday at 3.39 a.m. at a depth of 93 kilometres, according to the NCS.
On September 12, 2023, at 3:39:30 IST, NCS posted a message on the social media platform X describing a 4.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Andaman Sea at latitude and longitude of 6.19 and 95.31.According to NCS data, a 5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in Ukhrul, Manipur, on Monday night. The earthquake was felt 20 kilometres below the surface.
