3 Nigerian and 1 Kenyan men arrested for Meth Production in a Greater Noida house

The Delhi Police successfully shut down an illegal drug manufacturing operation in a luxurious residence at Alestonia Estate, Greater Noida. 4 Foreign Nationals, including individuals with a history of drug trafficking, in a well-organised lab were producing banned “Fine-Quality '' methamphetamine drugs.

The rented property that was once housing a gym was converted into a lab utilised for illegal drug production. The accused had chosen a "luxurious and lonely private place" in Estonia Estate, Greater Noida, where they went unnoticed by neighbours.

Neighbours noticed that these men were only spotted during early mornings or late nights and never interacted with others, leading to growing suspicion of them due to their unusual behaviour.

The suspects, identified as Nigerian nationals Eze Uchenna James (49), Alitumo Ifedi Shedrack (28), Eze Ibe Emeka Chibuzo alias Iko (56), and Kenyan national Ivo Osita alias Usta alias Osey (44), were arrested by the Delhi Police, recovering 445 grams of fine-quality methamphetamine, 20.5 kg of raw materials, equipment and face masks from the lab.

The clandestine drug manufacturing operation came to light when the police received a tip on November 27, 2023, leading to the arrest of Eze Uchenna James. Further investigations revealed the involvement of his associates, Alitumo, Ibe, and Ivo, in the drug production and distribution network, who would further provide them at rave parties in Delhi NCR or among the student population.

The accused were already involved in the world of drug-related crimes, as Eze, Alitumo, and Ivo had previously faced charges and arrests in drug trafficking cases. They were out on conditional bail when apprehended in connection with this latest drug bust, that was part of an ongoing operation by the Delhi Police against the suppliers of narcotics substances.

Further, Officers said Uchenna had been previously arrested in a commercial drug case by the Narcotics Control Bureau of Punjab and had been convicted for 10 years by a court. He was later granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The police suspect that the manufactured drugs were distributed in Delhi and nearby areas, possibly finding their way into rave parties and among the student population. Efforts are underway to trace the landlords and intermediaries associated with the operation. Forensic analysis of the suspects' mobile phones aims to identify customers and further links within the international drug network.
