In a heartbreaking incident, an Army Colonel, a Major and a Deputy Superintendent of Police heroically sacrificed their lives in a fierce gunfight with separatist rebels in the Kokernag area of ​​Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. The fallen heroes, Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commandant of 9 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Ashish Kumar and DSP Humayun Bhat, displayed extraordinary courage in the face of danger.
