New Delhi, 17th January 2024: With over 1,000 attendees from 30 nations and 250 startups, the 31st Convergence India and 9th Smart Cities India Expo was a dynamic display of technology and creativity that opened its doors at Pragati Maidan. The Hon'ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh, stressed that it is our common responsibility to develop Brand India, Digital India, and Smart India.

Governor Singh, in his inaugural address, underlined the pivotal role of technology in the sustainability revolution. He stressed the need for inclusive digitalization, ensuring that the benefits reach every stratum of society. His optimism echoed in his praise for the Smart Cities project, a beacon of hope for building cities that are not only fast-paced but sustainable.

Discussions also delved into the future of smart cities in 2024 and the challenges and opportunities presented by changing cityscapes.
