Taylor Swift becomes the First Artist ever to capture the entire top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100

With songs from her most recent album, Midnights, Taylor Swift received a perfect score of 10, making her the very first singer in history to take the Top 10 spots on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Swift overtook Drake, who had previously maintained the standard with nine of the Top 10 songs for an entire week in September 2021, according to a story from Billboard on Monday.

“10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” tweeted the young artist.

On October 21, the new album was released in two formats: a standard 13-track edition and a premium edition with seven bonus tracks. One of the largest album launches in almost seven years occurred with this one. According to Billboard, Swift and Barbra Streisand are now tied as female artists with some of the most No. 1 albums.

Anti-Hero, whose song's lyrics, “It’s me/hi/I’m the problem/It’s me” have instantly become a TikTok sensation, is currently at the top of the Billboard list. Lavender Haze, Maroon, Snow on the Beach, Midnight Rain, Bejeweled, and Question are among the remaining Top 10 tracks. With Midnights, Swift broke several records. Its debut week of sales was the highest from any album this year, nearly tripling those of Harry's House, Harry Styles' third solo album, which had held the milestone. Again surpassing Styles' numbers of 53.9m, Midnights also had the greatest first-week streams of the entire year with 72.5m.

Midnights set a new mark for the most album streams in a single day on Spotify on the date it was released.

Swift also has surpassed Madonna to establish a new all-time UK chart record for the highest sequence of nine UK No. 1 albums by a female artist – though Madonna still holds the distinction for the most UK No. 1 records by a solo female artist, with 12. Kylie Minogue now occupies third place on that chart after Swift has displaced her.

Even after her accomplishment in the UK, she won't be able to duplicate her dominance of the Billboard Hot 100 because, as a result of Ed Sheeran's 2017 album, having 16 of its 17 songs chart in the Top 20, regulations were put in place that limits an album's singles chart eligibility to its three most popular tracks.
