According to reports, Adani had taken a loan of $3 billion from a sovereign wealth fund. It also revealed that the credit line could go up to $5 billion.
The gains in stocks just after this news, triggered these rumours even further. All the 10 stocks of Adani went up on Wednesday, which was the first time after the Hindenburg report.
Adani Total Gas, Adani Green Energy, Adani Transmission, Adani Power, Adani Wilmar, and NDTV had gains of 5 per cent while Adani Enterprises had the highest increase in gains of up to 15 per cent in its stock. Over the past two sessions, the market value of all Adani equities increased by 11 per cent. The group's market value was estimated to be Rs 7.56 trillion, approximately.
But now Adani group has denied to this rumour. They called it a “baseless speculation”. In an interview with a media company, Adani group said, “We completely deny this baseless speculation. This is totally false and untrue.”
