A viral claim that a Russian woman named Julie travelled to Bhagalpur, Bihar, to marry a local man named Rahul Yadav has turned out to be misleading.

According to reports, Julie visited Purnia for travel and personal work, with no plans to get married. The man featured in the viral videos also reportedly said he did not know anyone named Rahul Yadav.

The supposed cross-border love story appears to have been fabricated for social media attention.
