Zoom, a virtual meeting platform, has launched a new feature called Notes that enables users to create, share, and edit a text document in real-time during video calls. With Notes, users can create and share notes in real time during a Zoom meeting, eliminating the need to switch between Zoom and other tools. This allows for more efficient collaboration and reduces distractions.
To prepare for a meeting, one can easily create a note and share it with attendees ahead of time. During the meeting, notes can be opened and shared with others to collaborate in real time. After the meeting, Zoom users have the option to share notes with anyone who may benefit from the content. Existing notes can be easily accessed from the in-meeting navigation bar or a new note can be started during the meeting. The company has announced that note creators will have the ability to initiate a sharing session during the meeting to collaborate in real time, similar to Zoom Whiteboard.
Zoom Notes provides numerous editing tools that offer a wide range of formatting options including font, styling, bullets, colours, and more. Moreover, users are able to incorporate images and links into their Notes, and their work is automatically saved at regular intervals to ensure it is not lost. This feature is accessible to all users without any extra charges and will be gradually introduced in the upcoming weeks.
