As part of its "Max" update, Truecaller has added a new AI-powered tool that users can use to block spam calls. This feature blocks calls that aren't from people you've accepted or that the AI algorithm deems spam. This is different from the old way of doing things, where call blocking was based on the company's information and screening users.
Enhanced Spam Call Protection for Truecaller Premium Users
The new AI spam blocking feature is currently exclusive to Truecaller Premium users on Android devices. This move comes as Apple restricts caller ID services like Truecaller from directly analysing and blocking spam calls on iOS. Kunal Dua, Truecaller's Vice President of Search, mentioned that the system will continue to evolve with more data on spam calls, ensuring improved accuracy over time.

Adding this AI-powered function shows that Truecaller is serious about improving the user experience and privacy by blocking spam calls. As the system learns and gets better, users can expect more accurate blocking and identification of spam calls, making conversations smoother and safer.
