On Monday, Tech Mahindra announced that it had partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop a cloud platform for sports. The platform will provide immersive sports experiences globally and help sports organizations develop next-generation digital capabilities. The two organizations signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) in September 2023, which led to the creation of the sports cloud product.
On Monday, AWS also revealed that HDFC Securities has released HDFC SKY, a new mobile trading app, on the hyperscalar's platform. When opposed to using on-premises infrastructure, HDFC Securities will save up to 50% on its annual IT infrastructure and administration costs by utilizing AWS. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that offers secure, reliable computing power. HDFC Securities moved its main workloads to Amazon EC2 to provide consistent high performance for HDFC SKY, which services over 75 million consumers.
Use cases for customer data management and audience segmentation, sports analytics, and content and community involvement will all be available on the digital platform for sports organizations. Through the use of metaverse gamification and augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), it will provide stadium-to-home fan experiences. Through the development of new services and features catered to the needs of the audience, sports organizations will also be able to create and modify the digital properties of sports teams and franchises and create new revenue streams.
"Through the creation of immersive experiences and the provision of data-driven insights, our partnership with Tech Mahindra will empower top sports organizations to elevate the fan experience to unprecedented heights. According to Samira Bakhtiar, general manager of media, entertainment, and sports at Amazon, "We are thrilled about the potential to make sports more engaging and enjoyable for fans and more productive for sports organizations around the world."
Our goal is to create a personalized, fan-focused community that goes beyond traditional sports by constructing a sports cloud on AWS. said Jagdish Mitra, chief strategy officer and head of growth at Tech Mahindra,
Additionally, Tech Mahindra will use Amazon SageMaker, a fully managed machine learning service from AWS that lets developers and data scientists create, train, and implement ML models for any purpose, to power AR/VR video and image analytics. This will allow sports fans to watch live events, shop, and take virtual stadium tours.
