At the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the AMG Vision Gran Turismo, the sports concept car. This is the third concept car displayed by Mercedes-Benz in India, following the Vision Maybach 6 and the Concept EQG.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept car will remain on display at the Cultural Centre until May 2024, providing visitors the opportunity to engage with a video presentation of the car by scanning a QR Code.
The concept car showcases extreme proportions, sensual contours, and a seamlessly integrated high-tech design to create a body that vividly represents the impressive performance of 430 kW (585 hp) and 800 Nm of torque.
The concept car has a futuristic design with a low, sleek stance and high-tech features. Its design includes a long bonnet flowing into a compact cabin, which slopes slightly at the rear, where it rests on the rear end with broad shoulder contours. The sleek look is complemented by defined side contours and pronounced wheel arches.
The car features angled headlamps and a radiator grille that is a modern take on the wide Mercedes-Benz sports car grille, reminiscent of the iconic 1952 300 SL racing car. Instead of traditional louvres, the grille incorporates LEDs with variable LED patterns, evolving from the diamond grille seen in the new A-Class.
The angled headlamps, with their bold colour and determined look, evoke a feeling of sportiness and readiness to accelerate. This impression is strengthened by the expressive shapes of the bonnet, which feature motorsport-inspired details such as release catches and the fuel cap.
