Do Not Intentionally Try to Break: Apple forums on reports of iPhone 15 Pro Max Durability

Apple's latest iPhone 15 faced a barrage of complaints shortly after its release, with users highlighting design and technical problems. Tech enthusiasts took to social media to report issues with the new device, including concerns about durability, uneven colouring, and potential defects. Some posts mentioned that the curved edges of the iPhone 15 seemed more fragile than the previous straight-edge design. Some users referred to the new phone as a "fingerprint magnet." Others shared clips showing a possible software glitch that caused screen disturbances.

Apple responded to concerns about the colouring issue, explaining that the oil from users' skin might temporarily affect the outside band's colour but could be restored by wiping the phone with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.

Despite these complaints, demand for the latest Apple offerings remained high, with long queues forming at stores worldwide. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to be among Apple's top sellers, and their performance will likely influence the company's holiday sales.

iPhone 15 Back Glass Vulnerability

In addition to complaints about design and technical issues, videos posted online revealed potential vulnerabilities in the iPhone 15 Pro Max's back glass panel. Drop tests conducted by YouTubers showed that the back glass could crack relatively easily under certain conditions. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max feature Apple's Ceramic Shield material and are made with Grade 5 titanium and aluminium sub-structures for increased durability.

However, drop tests demonstrated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max's back glass could shatter, rendering the device non-functional in some cases. Despite Apple's reputation for sturdy devices, the back glass's vulnerability surprised users and YouTubers alike.
