Bayern Munich has extended the contract of forward Thomas Müller for another year, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2024–25 season. This puts Müller within reach of the club's all-time appearance record. Müller, who joined Bayern at the age of 10, has developed into a leader both on and off the field and is very well-liked by the group. The 34-year-old is known for his versatility and clever style of play, and he rarely gets injured. His contract extension follows a similar deal given to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer last month.
Müller aims to break records and lead Bayern to success
Müller has played 684 times for Bayern in all competitions and is just 22 games away from breaking Sepp Maier's all-time record. He expressed his desire to be a foundation for the team and help steer them in the right direction. Müller has won the German League title 12 times and the Champions League twice with Bayern. Despite his reduced role in recent seasons, he has still managed to contribute with a goal and four assists in the Bundesliga this season.
In addition to his club success, Müller has also been recalled to the German national team ahead of the European Championship next year. He has made a total of 126 international appearances. Müller's contract extension reflects his continued importance to Bayern Munich and his desire to continue contributing to the team's success.
