Rich Indians are ready to pay 60 lacs to fly to the FIFA World cup

The 2022 FIFA World Cup which is to be held in Qatar from the 20th of November has started receiving a massive demand for private jets from India’s High Net Worth Individuals.

With the FIFA World Cup coming closer the air charter-sourcing companies are having huge business through the bookings by Indian HNIs. The World cup is all set to be held in Qatar starting from November 20 to December 18. As per the official sources, charter plane tickets are being bought by India’s HNIs in spite of exorbitant rates.

One of India’s well-heeled FIFA fans in fact booked the entire 30-seater charter plane to witness the FIFA World cup in Qatar. Insta Charter, which is a Delhi-based air charter sourcing company in interaction with ANI revealed that the HNIs are showing their interest in booking private charters.

According to Captain Abhishek Sinha, founder of Insta Charter, "This past month the maximum trip requests we have received are for Qatar and Dubai for FIFA matches’’.

The demand to book private charter jets has been increasing for FIFA Matches since there aren't enough hotels available for stay during the matches and spectators are finding it difficult to book last-minute stay options.

Insta Charter has also confirmed that a huge list of prominent personalities will be attending the FIFA game in Qatar. Captain Sinha said, “We can say this is indicative of the prominent presence of the who's who of the Indian business fraternity at the event but can't say the name of our clients as per our privacy policy.”

People are about to watch 90-minute of their favourite matches at FIFA and are resorting to Charters so that they can come back home the same day as the number of good hotels in Qatar is not enough.

Captain Sinha also added that a "Two-way trip to Doha in a 30-seater plane should cost about INR 50 - 60 lacs + Taxes, which right now is even able to command a price increase of about 40-50 per cent due to surging demand and lopsided supply. The cost is almost the same as Mumbai.”

Usually, private charters of 30-seater planes should cost around INR 50-60 Lakhs. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup happening in Doha, Qatar the Tata Group-owned Air India announced the launch of 20 new weekly flights to Qatar (Doha). The airline also stated, "The added capacity will cater to the surge in demand expected around the football extravaganza in Qatar scheduled in November and December 2022.’’
