Annu Rani managed a 53.22 throw in her second attempt in the women's javelin qualification, which puts her 14th in Group A. A lot of work to do in the remaining two attempts for the Indian, with the automatic qualifying mark set at 62m.
♦ ATHLETICS: Jyothi into repechage
Indian athlete Jyothi Yarraji clocked 13.16 seconds in Heat 4 of Round 1 of the women's 100m hurdles at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Wednesday. Although she finished seventh in her heat and did not secure direct qualification to the semi-finals, Yarraji will have another chance tomorrow in the repêchage round.
