Pakistani Blind Team gets Visa Clearance from MHA

The 34 members of the Pakistani blind cricket team and its officials have been granted visa clearance by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in order to compete in the blind cricket world cup in India.  The 12-day event was slated to take place from December 5–17.

Initially, Pakistan's first game of the season was slated to take place on Tuesday, December 6 against South Africa. However, the Cricket Association for Blind in India (CABI) announced that the neighboring country will not be participating in the tournament despite their best efforts to process the visa application. This is because they were unable to arrive in India in time. A revised schedule was created as a result.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Team will not be allowed to travel despite CABI following all essential steps to submit their VISA application, according to information from the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, to compete in the current 3rd T20 World Cup for the Blind, which is being hosted in India. Pakistan's absence from the competition will result in a revised schedule being released by CABI soon. The sentence was read.

The failure of their players to obtain visas further angered the PBCC.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) expressed displeasure with this and claimed that it had put their cricket squad in a difficult situation. In addition, the association vowed to take harsh action against India and prevent it from holding any more international competitions in the future.

The Pakistani cricket team's blind players are in a bind as a result of this terrible tragedy. Given the current form of the Green Shirts, Pakistan has a strong chance of winning the World Cup, the PBCC stated in a statement. It was highly likely that Pakistan and India would have faced off in the World Cup final.

This discriminatory act by India is strongly condemned since sports should be put above local politics. Our Indian counterpart, the Blind Cricket Association, begged their authorities to give Pakistan permission, but nothing came of it. The World Blind Cricket Federation will take strong action against them for this discriminatory act, and it's possible that India won't be allowed to hold any future international competitions, according to the PBCC.

Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal are among the other nations taking part in the Blind Cricket World Cup 2022. Five locations—Faridabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Indore, and Bengaluru—will host the competition. Bengaluru will serve as the final's host city. The team is now prepared to compete in the competition after Pakistan's visa issue was settled in the interim.
