Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty finally have the China Masters title they had been chasing. The Indian men’s doubles stars produced a remarkable comeback in Shenzhen on Sunday, September 6, overcoming China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu 11-21, 21-13, 21-17 in a gripping final that lasted one hour and 10 minutes.

The victory was significant on several fronts. It ended the Indian pair’s wait for a maiden China Masters crown, made them the first Indian men’s doubles pair to win the prestigious tournament and added another major title to their growing list of achievements.

More importantly, the triumph came after Satwik and Chirag had already experienced heartbreak at the same tournament. They had finished runners-up in the 2023 and 2025 editions, making their third final appearance the one that finally delivered the elusive trophy.
