Paris Olympics 2024 Day 13 Live Updates: Neeraj Chopra creates history with silver medal

India has a lot to look forward to on this action-packed day. In the men's javelin, Neeraj Chopra will be aiming for consecutive gold medals at the Olympics. Although the Indian hockey team's run for gold is over, they still have a chance to take home a bronze. Aman Sehrawat and Anshu Malik will be seeking to confirm medals for India as they compete in wrestling. Aditi Ashok will compete in the women's golf singles event. Jyoti Yarraji will compete in athletics as well.

A tentative Neeraj Chopra lands his first throw in the final of men's javelin. He lands it at 89.45m, the second-best throw in his career. He storms into the second spot in the field.

Arshad Nadeem shatters the Olympic record with a sensational throw of 92.97m. This is madness. He had such a poor run-up to the tournament.

Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat is now in action in the Men's 57 kg freestyle against Japan's Rei Higuchi. Aman can ensure a medal for himself with a win here.

The entire Indian men's hockey team gives a grand goodbye to PR Sreejesh after his final hockey tournament. Harmanpreet Singh is now carrying Sreejesh on his shoulders.

India's Aman Sehrawat is through to the quarterfinals of the men's 57kg event after beating North Macedonia's Vladimir Egorov 10:0 via technical superiority. 

►  ATHLETICS: Yarraji finishes 4th

Jyoti Yarraji finished fourth in the heats of the repechage heats in women's 100-metre hurdles and failed to qualify for the semi-finals. She had a timing of 13.17. South Africa's Marione Fourie and Netherlands' Maayke Tjin-A-Lim qualified for the heats in Group 1 

►  ATHLETICS: Yarraji up next

India's Jyothi Yarraji will be in action from 2:05 PM in the repechage of the women's 100-metre hurdles. Earlier on Wednesday, she finished seventh in her heats with a timing of 13.16 seconds. Overall, she finished 35th out of 40 runners. 

►  GOLF LIVE UPDATES

Dikdha Dagar has looked in brilliant form as she has moved to T4, jumping 3 places from her earlier position of T7, Aditi Ashok has dropped to T13

India's Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will be in action from 12:30 pm in the women's strokeplay in golf. After Round 1, Dagar was placed at T7 while Ashok, who finished fourth in Tokyo, was at T13.
