Morocco's dream fades as defending champion France advances to the final.

The Moroccan football team, who have been known as the underdogs for this FIFA World Cup of 2022, was finally knocked out by the defending champions France in the second semi-final of the FIFA World Cup. Morocco had what many would call a magical run in the FIFA World Cup, coming on top of the group, beating teams like Spain, and even knocking out Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.

Morocco in tearsMorocco faced France on December 15 in the second semi-final of the FIFA World Cup. The Moroccans had not considered a single goal the whole tournament until the 5th minute of the semi-final game, when French star Theo Hernandez scored a deflection to give the defending champions the lead. The French team entered halftime leading 1-0. The Moroccan attacking line kept on pressing, trying their very best to score until the last minute, but there was another turn-off event that made sure that France would secure their position in the final when Randal Kolo Muani, who had just come off the bench, scored another goal for France thanks to a wonderful assist from Kylian Mbappe to secure France's position in the FIFA World Cup final.
