Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is set to miss second consecutive Premier League game

Erling Haaland one of the key players of Manchester City is set to miss his second game because of his foot injury on Saturday, said the manager Pep Guardiola. He is hoping the striker can travel with the squad to the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Manchester City are set to play Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Haaland earlier missed last Sunday’s game in which they won 2-1 over Luton Town and he did not travel to Belgrade over a 3-2 win over Red Star in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Manchester City’s manager said the injury has a swelling which is bruising the bone which can progress to a stress fracture if not treated properly. If Haaland does not recover well on time their hopes of winning their title would be over.

Haaland has a lead of 14 goals this season in this team.

Speaking about Haaland’s injury, Pep Guardiola said, “Hopefully he can travel to Saudi on Saturday after the game. I think he is going to travel with us.”

Currently the team is on the fourth spot of the Premier League table with 33 points after 16 games
