Liverpool Manager Jürgen Klopp announces to step down from the position in season's end

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has declared that he will step down from his position at the end of the current season, leaving the football community in shock. His departure is the end of an era for Liverpool. 

Expressing gratitude for the memorable journey with Liverpool, 56 year German Manager, Klopp commented on his decision, saying he has a feeling of "running out of energy," clarifying that there are no underlying health issues.  He also disclosed that he informed the Liverpool owners of his intention to step down back in November.

He said, “I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.”

Klopp took charge in October 2015, and has been a key figure in Liverpool's comeback, His distinctive "heavy metal" style of play, guidance to the team and his emotional support to his fans have led Liverpool to major successes, including, securing the Champions League, Premier League, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.

Klopp has made an impact, as the football community recognizes him as one of the club's greatest managers. His legacy includes not just the silverware but also iconic moments, such as the remarkable comeback against Barcelona in the 2018-2019 Champions League semi finals.

Not just Klopp, assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, along with elite development coach Vitor Matos, are also set to leave at the end of the season. Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League, faces uncertainty about its future leadership. 

However, the club has not yet disclosed details about Klopp's successor. Klopp's decision raises concerns about his potential successor, with former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, currently managing Bayer Leverkusen, emerging as a possible candidate.

Klopp himself has stated that he won't manage another club or country for at least a year, ruling out the possibility of leading another English team.
