Kylian Mbappe takes top spot on Forbes rich list as football’s highest paid player

Kylian Mbappé of France and Paris Saint-Germain is now the highest-paid football player in the world, surpassing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, as reported by Forbes. According to the magazine, Mbappé will make a record-breaking $128 million in profits for the 2022–2023 campaign. Mbappé surpassed the $100 million milestone at the age of 23, but players like Messi and Ronaldo had to wait until they were in their 30s to do so.

Both Ronaldo and Messi, Mbappé's teammate, are expected to make at least $100 million in the 2022–2023 season. On the exclusive list of the highest-paid footballers in the world, Ronaldo and Messi will still come in last place behind French forward Kylian Mbappé. For the current season at PSG, Mbappe is projected to make $110 million in total earnings from his salary and signing bonus. According to a source, Mbappe will also receive $18 million in annual endorsement payments.

Popular companies like Nike, Dior, Hublot, Oakley, and Panini have the Frenchman as their brand ambassador. Superstar Mbappé also made an appearance on the FIFA video game's 2022 cover for the third time in his career by EA Sports.

 Kylian mbappe surpasses Messi

Erling Haaland, who joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund and has had an incredible start to his career, debuts in the top 10 with $39 million in earnings.  Nicolas Julia, a co-founder of Sorare, told Forbes that "He's already a global icon." "He wants to help the world and demonstrate that France is capable of producing enormous things." The research claimed that as Messi and Ronaldo are near the end of their incredible careers, the development of Frenchman Kylian Mbappe and Norwegian Haaland—the only players under 30 on the list—signals a change in the worldwide game.
