KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, announced on May 9 that surgery to repair a thigh injury he suffered during an IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1 had been successful. After the surgery, KL Rahul said that he felt good and was getting ready to play again soon. KL Rahul was governed out of the rest of IPL after he got a thigh injury while attempting to stop a limit against Illustrious Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow. As he pulled up while fielding, Rahul was in pain and was helped off the field.
In addition, Rahul disclosed earlier in May that he would be absent from the June World Test Championship final against Australia. Although KL Rahul's availability for the ODI World Cup later this year is uncertain, the senior batter's Instagram statement is encouraging. "Hello, everyone! I just finished my surgery. It was effective. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the medical professionals who ensured my comfort and the smooth operation of the procedure. I can now say with certainty that I am recovering. Not entirely set in stone to return to my best and get back on the field.
"Onwards and upwards." In his Instagram post, Rahul stated. Dissimilar to the most recent couple of years, Rahul battled for structure in IPL 2023 as his lean fix across all configurations of the game proceeded. After a string of failures in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the India batter was dropped from the Test team.
However, he was kept in the team for the World Test Championship final because Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were hurt. In the World Test Championship final, there was a school of thinking that Rahul might maintain wickets ahead of KL Rahul, but his injuries stopped him from competing. Ishan Kishan was selected by India as KL Rahul's backup wicketkeeper for the WTC final. They also added Mukesh Kumar, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ruturaj Gaikwad as backup players for the big game in London, which starts on June 7.
