Jio Cinema faces backlash; viewers complain of buffering issues

When Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played in the season-opening match, the Jio Cinema app collapsed (GT). As a result, many fans were irritated since they could not see the game smoothly.

As Reliance acquired the majority of the IPL broadcasting rights (for 2023–2027) for a total of Rs 23,758 crore, Viacom is providing free streaming of the IPL 2023 on its OTT platform, JioCinema. Disney Star paid Rs 23,575 crore to acquire the television rights for the Indian subcontinent. For the first time, two companies are dispersing the matches across several platforms in India and other nations.

Users on Twitter received a response from JioCinema saying, "We apologise." We don't want you to go through this after all. Please DM us the specifics of your OS, app version, and mobile number to assist us in solving this issue.JioCinema's Twitter account occasionally advises customers to reinstall the app and give it another shot.
