India dominated the third session, with Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring game-changing runs to put India in command in Rajkot. After India lost skipper Rohit Sharma for 19, Jaiswal and Gill contributed 150-plus runs for the second wicket to help the hosts consolidate their lead against England. Jaiswal scored 104 off 133 balls, while Gill was unbeaten on 65 alongside nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav (3) as India reached 196/2 at Stumps in Rajkot. India's lead over England grew to 322 runs.

Stellar bowling performance by Men in Blue
England had a strong first 15 minutes on Day 3, but India seized control of the match. The visitors lost three significant wickets in the first session before collapsing in the second. Although Mohammed Siraj claimed four wickets, Kuldeep Yadav was unplayable and ended with only two wickets. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Joe Root in the opening session, while Kuldeep then dismissed Jonny Bairstow in the next over. After keeping England under pressure, Kuldeep ultimately dismissed Ben Duckett on 153 off 151. During the first session, Kuldeep was virtually unplayable and England's run rate was barely over three, which was half of what it was on Day 2.
Ashwin is out of the remainder test
Ravichandran Ashwin created history on Day 2 by taking his 500th wicket, but India will have to play the rest of the Test without him as the veteran spinner-allrounder withdrew late on Friday due to a family issue. With England likely the happiest team after the second day after losing three wickets, India has their work cut out for them.
England started Day 3 on 207/2 in just 35 overs, trailing India by 238 runs. Opener Duckett starts on an overnight score of 133 off just 118 balls and he has Joe Root at the other end on nine off 13. Duckett has smashed an incredible 21 fours and two sixes thus far in his innings as England rattled along at a scoring rate of just under six. They were handed a late blow on Day 2 with Ollie Pope falling to Mohammed Siraj on 39 off 55, thus ending a 93-run stand which he built with Duckett. Before that, Duckett shared an opening stand of 84 runs with Zak Crawley which came in just 80 balls.
