Virat Kohli scored 25,548 runs in 500 games whereas the current head coach, Rahul Dravid, scored 24,064 runs in 504 games. On Thursday, Kohli took the lead when Rohit left and smashed his 30th fifty in a Test. He and Ravindra Jadeja shared an incredible century stand for the fifth wicket, and when his batting continued on Friday, he will go for his 29th hundred. He came back unharmed on 87. The former Indian captain passed former South African batsman Jacques Kallis to rank seventh all-time in runs scored in international cricket with 25,534 runs in 519 games. Virat now has 25,548 runs, an average of 53.67, in his career. He has hit 75 centuries, 132 half-centuries, and a highest score of 254 (in Tests) in 559 innings. After Kohli (87 batting off 161) and Ravindra Jadeja (36 batting off 84) played some beautiful shots in the last session to ensure they earned 106 runs in 33.2 overs without losing a wicket, India reached 288 for four at the close of the day.
