The nerves in the stadium were on another level as Mbappe put the penalty in the back of the net, and there was a roar around the stadium from the French end of the supporters as Kylian Mbappe had again taken the lead for the golden boot, ensuring the youngster would finish the tournament as the top scorer.
The penalty shootouts were where it all went downhill for France as Mbappe scored his penalty but didn't get any support from his teammates as Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez saved all the remainder of France's penalties as the younger players of Argentina, such as Paulo Dybala, scored their penalties along with Lionel Messi scoring his to make Argentina World Champions.
The celebrations began as they were combined with tears of joy for Argentina.Lionel Messi, the man who had done it all for his club, however, had only one dream: to win the World Cup with Argentina. His destiny had been fulfilled. Argentina celebrated as the world watched as this wonderful nation from South America lifted the trophy.
Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez won the Golden Glove award for his outstanding performance during the whole tournament.
