The World Test Championship (WTC) is a professional cricket competition contested by the men's national teams of the member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
With the 2-0 series win, India improved its points percentage (PCT) to 58.92, ahead of South Africa (55.76) and Sri Lanka (54.55) in the WTC 2021–23 cycle that ends in March 2023. Australia leads the standings with a supreme PCT of 76.92.

Points are awarded based on the results of Test matches played during the competition.
Each team plays six other teams in a league format, and points are awarded for wins, draws, and losses. The team with the most points at the end of the league stage qualifies for the final.
