Four-Member SpaceX Crew Safely Docks With International Space Station

On Wednesday SpaceX launched NASA's Crew - 5 mission to the International space station, with NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, astronaut Koichi Wakata of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency ( JAXA ) and with  Roscomos cosmonaut Anna Kikina, on 5th October 2022 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. SpaceX Launched four astronauts to the International Space Station as part of the crew -5 mission. It is now learnt that the crew has safely docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday to begin a five-month science mission.

The Dragon spacecraft on the top of the Falcon - 9 rocket lifted off from launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy space centre in Florida on Wednesday,  The mission, Crew 5 will bring the groups up to the ISS for a six-month stay in orbit.Crew-5 got off the ground shortly after noon ET, beginning an estimated 29-hour journey to dock with the ISS. The mission brings the number of astronauts SpaceX has launched to 30, including both government and private missions, since its first crewed launch in May 2020. SpaceX launched the astronauts in its crew Dragon capsule known as Endurance, with the help of the Falcon-9 rocket both of which are reusable.

This is the second time capsule - Endurance is flying to space, First time it was used in a crew -3 mission last year. The crew-5 mission brings the number of astronauts launched by Space X to 30, including both government and private missions since the first crew launched in May 2020.
