Cosmic Nebula Necklace: NASA unveils dazzling 15,000-light-year away shot

The space agency NASA regularly captures breathtaking images of the universe, captivating space enthusiasts worldwide. Their Instagram account serves as a valuable resource for those interested in educational videos and fascinating images showcasing Earth and space. Recently, NASA shared a stunning picture of the "Necklace Nebula", a celestial marvel formed by two Sun-like stars in close orbit. Captioned as "Woven from the stardust of nebulae: A cosmic necklace," the image illustrates the formation of the Necklace Nebula. An ageing star grew to the point that it joined with its partner star some 10,000 years ago. This close orbit of the pair resulted in the creation of a nebula, with bright knots of gas resembling diamonds on a necklace. The Necklace Nebula, also known as PN G054.203.4, is located a vast 15,000 light years away.
