Supreme Court to give judgment on Shiv Sena Rift today

The Supreme Court finally passed its judgement in the much awaited case about the Maharashtra Government Crisis, Shivsena Vs Shivsena. After a sudden government change in Maharashtra, there has been a continuous fight between divided Shivsena, over which the Supreme Court gave its verdict.

According to SC's verdict given by the constitutional bench of 5 judges, Uddhav Thackeray can't regain his post of Chief Minister and continues to run the government of Maharashtra. What former governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari did in the matter of government, wasn't his concern at all, according to law. He asked the former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to prove the majority and go through a floor test. But in fact, there was no need for a floor test for the Thackeray government. And Uddhav Thackeray, too, did not give a floor test and before that, he resigned. Then he asked the Shiv Sena - BJP to form the government and Chief Minister Eknath shinde took an oath as the Chief Minister. Thus, as a result of this, Eknath Shinde will continue as the Chief Minister.

Aditya Thackeray and NCP President Sharad Pawar put their opinion saying, "Eknath Shinde may continue the CM post but he has lost the morality grounds. And those 16 MLAs should be disqualified."

Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi who ran the case on behalf of Thackeray said that, "there are findings against the Governor, then how does Eknath Shinde have the legal right, also Speaker should disqualify MLAs as decision about this is in hands of Speaker of assembly." But people don't seem to be happy with the SC verdict.
