Rahul Gandhi shares a heartfelt message to Wayanad People

In an emotional letter to Wayanad People, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the unwavering support he received from Wayanad.

As Rahul Gandhi secured a win on both Wayanad and Rae Bareilly Lok sabha seat, he has taken a decision to retain UP's Rae Bareilly constituency, a long-standing bastion of the Gandhi family, and vacate Kerala’s Wayanad seat earlier this week. He was required by electoral rules to vacate one within 14 days of the election results, which were announced on June 4.

The Congress party has announced Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as their candidate for the upcoming Wayanad bypoll, marking her entry into electoral politics.

Heartfelt and Emotional Message to Wayanad

Rahul Gandhi, taking to the social media platform x, shared the note, where he wrote,

“Dear sisters and brothers of Wayanad,
When I faced abuse day after day, your unconditional love protected me. “

To the people of Wayanad he said, “You were my refuge, my home and my family. I never felt for even a moment that you doubted me.”

As now Priyanka is taking the responsibility of Wayanad, he added, “I am sad, but I am consoled because my sister Priyanka will be there to represent you. I am confident that she will do an excellent job of being your MP if you decide to give her the opportunity.”

He also thanked the people for their "unconditional love" and support during challenging times. And he expressed that he has developed an emotional bond with the constituency during his tenure.”
