With the presence of all important members of Congress like Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress started preparing for the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh. After a meeting held on Monday, 29th May, Rahul Gandhi made a statement saying, "we will secure around 150 seats in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, which is likely to happen till the end of this year."
After achieving 136 seats in Karnataka, now Congress is confident enough to say that they will grab 150 seats out of 230. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi talked with people and got to know about various issues they were facing. Right now, Congress has a basic strategy to contest these polls. With the victory of Congress in the 2018 election in Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath took the Chief Minister post, but within two years, the government collapsed. But this year Congress has not confirmed the candidates for these polls. With Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan will be having polls at the end of this year and Congress is preparing for that too.
But this confidence may collapse as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made an impression on the people of Madhyapradesh.
