RaGa goes rebel - Changes Twitter status to disqualified MP

After being found guilty of criminal defamation in a Surat court for making a comment about the "Modi surname," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi changed his Twitter bio on Sunday to reflect his disqualification as a member of parliament.
According to sources, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi will stage a "Sankalp Padyatra" on Sunday near Raj Ghat to protest Rahul Gandhi's exclusion from the Lok Sabha.

One day after a Surat court handed Rahul Gandhi a two-year prison sentence in a defamation case brought against him for his remark about the "Modi surname," Rahul Gandhi was stripped of his right to serve in the Lok Sabha.
The choice was made because of his assertion during a Lok Sabha political decision rally in Kolar, Karnataka, in April 2019, in which he said, "Why every one of the hoodlums have Modi as the normal last name?" The court granted Gandhi bail with a surety and postponed his sentence for 30 days so that he could appeal to higher courts.

After Gandhi was removed from the Lok Sabha and found guilty in the defamation case, he criticized the BJP. During a news conference, Gandhi stated that he does not fear going to jail and that the reason he was excluded from the Parliament was to divert attention away from the Adani controversy.
"Movement query: Who funded Adani's shell companies with 20,000 billion rupees? I'll continue to inquire about that." He stated
The former MP asserted that the BJP-led national government is shielding billionaire Gautam Adani, who has been accused of stock manipulation.
Why is it claimed that the BJP-led government in the center is protecting businessman Gautam Adani? "Kyuki aap hi Adani ho," he declared.
Accusing Prime Minister Modi of being terrified of the upcoming Adani address, he launched an attack. I could see it in his eyes. As a result, the distraction comes after the disqualification.

In response, the BJP's minister of information and broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, stated that Rahul Gandhi "is a case of political immaturity" and that neither the national government nor the Lok Sabha had any influence on his disqualification.
Ravi Shankar Prasad, a leader of the BJP, also voiced his disapproval of Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the Congressman's remarks regarding Modi's last name were "abusive, not critical, and that the Party is going to create an agitation against his insult to OBCs."
