PM Modi says party symbol to be the face of BJP in Rajasthan Assembly polls

According to recent reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan on Monday, October 2. During this, he fiercely attacked the Ashok Gehlot government. Also, PM Modi clarified that BJP will not present any leader as the chief ministerial candidate before the elections. He said that the election symbol 'Lotus' will be the "candidate" for the post of CM.

PM Modi stated that the candidates will contest the elections under the 'Lotus' symbol of the party. Modi said, "The only face of BJP in Rajasthan is 'Kamal'. Our hope and candidate is Kamal."  According to him, the 'lotus' election symbol will represent the candidate.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda held discussions with Rajasthan BJP leaders in Jaipur overnight to discuss various issues related to the upcoming assembly elections.  The meeting which began at a hotel late on Wednesday evening, continued till 2 am, as per the sources.

In his speech, the Prime Minister announced a strong directive to end factionalism and groupism. No particular face will represent the party. Instead, the focus is on unity and collectiveness, which has been emphasized repeatedly.

According to The Hindu report,  BJP State President C.P. Joshi, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Former CM Vasundhara Raje, whose supporters have been demanding that the election be fought under her leadership, were present at the rally.

At another event in Rajasthan, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth ₹ 7,200 crore before addressing in rally, and offered prayers in the Sanwaliya temple.
