On Friday, Konidela Pawan Kalyan was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in CM Chandrababu Naidu-led Government.
This move follows the sweeping victory of the Telugu Desam Party-led National Democratic Alliance (TDP-JSP-BJP) in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections, where the alliance secured an overwhelming majority by winning 164 out of 175 seats.
He has also been allocated the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Environment, Forests, and Science and Technology portfolios. This is his first tenure as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, representing the Pithapuram constituency.
N Chandrababu Naidu allocated portfolios to 24 ministers in his cabinet. Naidu has retained General Administration, Law and Order, Public Enterprises and all other portfolios which were not allocated to ministers. Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh has been given the Human Resources Development, Information Technology and Communication portfolios.
On X, N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the Deputy CM and his cabinet ministers, he said,
