In the midst of new unrest over the demand for a Maratha quota, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Prakash Solanke's Beed district home in Maharashtra was attacked with stones and set on fire on Monday, according to police.

A group of people also set fire to a car that was parked at Solanke's Majalgaon home after hearing an audio recording of the MLA allegedly discussing the Maratha quota movement and subtly criticizing the activist Man who was fasting. The incident happened as a result of MLA Solanke's audio clip regarding the Maratha reservation issue going viral. Locally, a bandh was called. Some individuals set fire to the MLA's home and car, and stones were also thrown," the officer told PTI.

The news agency ANI released images of a massive white house that was destroyed by fire. Given that a massive column of black smoke could be seen rising from the flaming residential building in the footage, the fire most certainly caused extensive damage.

Agitators encircled my house from all directions, but no one was willing to pay attention. My house was attacked with stones, and cars were set on fire. I continue to support the demand for the Maratha Reserve. With the support of the Maratha people, I have won four elections, and I am a Maratha MLA," he stated.

Even if the state government claims to be committed to the cause, protest organizers are unwavering in their devotion to obtaining Maratha reservations, therefore the situation is still unstable. Demonstrations have become more intense, and demands are still changing as local authorities try to find a solution.
