MP’s Vyapam Scam: Eight people Involved in a New Case

We’ve heard of people cheating in exams, but having a completely different person writing the exam for someone , now that's crossing a limit.

 Vyapam Scam

The Vyapam scam is exactly that among other things. It is an admission and recruitment scam involving politicians, senior officials and businessmen in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

A major racket was caused when seats in colleges were sold for cash and candidates were allowed to use unfair means to pass exams under the Vyapam scam.

 Vyapam Scam

The scam was functional since the 1990s and was finally unearthed in 2013 after the Indore police arrested 20 people for impersonating candidates appearing for a professional exam conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).

This time the case is against 8 people who are allegedly involved in the rigging and recruitment for the multi-crore medical entrance exam process.

 Vyapam Scam

The scam included bribery between exam applicants, government officials and middlemen: high-rankings were given in the exams in return for cash payments. An audit report in 2019 revealed irregularities within Vyapam, and the CBI has since filed a charge sheet against over 1,200 persons for alleged complicity in the scam.

This scam is highly unfair to all those candidates who work hard and don't get their deserved marks because others have bought their way through the education system.
