Lady army officers lead contingent on Republic Day parade 2023

The Republic Day parade of 2023 was a historic event, with Lieutenant Chetana Sharma leading a made-in-India Akash surface-to-air missile system, and Lieutenant Dimple Bhati leading the Corps of Signals motorcycle team.

This is a testament to India's progress in terms of women's rights and equality, and a celebration of the progress made in this regard. Additionally, the Indian Navy was represented at the parade by a tableau featuring women officers and sailors. The contingent was led by Lt. Commander Disha Amrith and included models of the Indian Navy's technology and products. This tableau will be a celebration of the 'Nari Shakti' in force.
