Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has skipped his scheduled appearance before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
The ED summoned Kejriwal for questioning on October 30, 2023, but he argued that the summons was "illegal and politically motivated" and that it was sent to prevent him from campaigning in the upcoming elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has defended Kejriwal's decision, claiming that the ED is being used by the BJP-led government to target him and the AAP politically.
The BJP has denied the AAP's allegations and stated that the ED is an independent agency investigating the Delhi liquor policy scam on its own merits.
It remains to be seen whether Kejriwal will appear before the ED for questioning in the future.
