BRS MP Stabbed in Telangana, During Election Campaign"

K. Prabhakar Reddy, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP and party nominee for the Assembly election next month, suffered injuries on Monday during a knife attack while he was campaigning in the Siddipet district.

After being moved to a hospital, Reddy is said to be safe. The event happened during the Lok Sabha member from Medak's campaign in Surampalli hamlet in Daulatabad mandal.

As he was leaving the residence, Prabhakar Reddy, the BRS candidate from the Dubbak Assembly constituency, was stabbed in the stomach by the attacker.

Reddy represents Medak, Telangana, as an MP at this time. After KCR resigned from his seat to become chief minister in 2014, he was elected as an MP from the constituency. It was recently announced that he was the Dubbak candidate. He is running against Raghunandan Rao of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BRS-ruled state of Telangana will hold elections on November 30. On December 3, there will be a vote count.

In CCTV footage, Prabhakar Reddy was seen sitting in a car and applying pressure to his stomach stab wound to stop the bleeding. Some locals "beaten up" the man who allegedly stabbed the MP, according to PTI.

After making the attacker's arrest, police opened an investigation.
