BJP's Manik Saha Takes Oath as CM of Tripura

BJP leader Dr Manik Saha took oath as Tripura’s CM for the second term March 8. The BJP and IPFT (Indigenous People’s Front Tripura) alliance won 33 seats out of the 60n seats in the February 16 polls.
The oath ceremony took place in the Vivekananda Stadium in Agartala in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda. The gathering also hosted Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khanda, Manipur CM N Biren Singh and Sikkim CM PS Tamang.
The new Tripura Cabinet will retain 4 ministers from the previous government and 4 new faces that also took the oath of Office on Wednesday. While most of the positions were filled by the BJP, one ministry was given to IPFT ally Sukla Charan Noatia.
