Coconut Milk Rice

Thengai Paal Sadam, also known as Coconut Milk Rice, is a scrumptious rice dish that includes onions, coconut milk, mixed veggies, and aromatic spices and herbs. This recipe is similar to a pulao and is effortless to prepare, yet has a delightful blend of flavours that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a hearty curry, salad, or any other side of your choosing. Additionally, it's a vegan-friendly recipe, making it ideal for when you desire a nutritious and delectable meal without the hassle of intricate cooking.

Red Coconut Chutney

As an Indian, I can attest to our love for chutneys. The variety of condiments in Indian cuisine is truly endless. One of my personal favourites is the Kerala-style Red Coconut Chutney. Despite its name, it's not too spicy thanks to the balance of dried red chillies and other ingredients. The beautiful flavour of this chutney pairs perfectly with Dosa, Idli, Medu Vada, and Uttapam.

Olan Recipe

Have you tried Olan? It's a mouth-watering curry that's made with white pumpkin (also known as ash gourd or kumbalanga), cowpeas (also called red lobia or chawli) and creamy coconut milk. It's a gluten-free and vegan dish that's perfect for those with dietary restrictions. Olan is a comforting and tasty meal that pairs perfectly with steamed rice, or even Kerala red rice. Give it a try and see for yourself!
