On New Year's Eve, Swiggy delivered 3.50 lakh orders of biryani across India. Hyderabadi biryani topped the charts with 75.4 percent orders, followed by Lucknowi biryani (14.2 per cent) and Kolkata biryani (10.4 per cent).

- Chana masala: A dish of chickpeas cooked in a spiced tomato sauce.
- Butter paneer: A dish of paneer (Indian cheese) in a creamy tomato-based sauce.
- Chicken tikka masala: A dish of grilled chicken in a spiced tomato-based sauce.
Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety said that over 1.3 million orders were delivered, and 12,344 people across India ordered khichdi by 9.18 PM.
Bawarchi, one of the top biryani-selling restaurants in Hyderabad, delivered two Biryanis per minute on 2021 New year Eve and for 31st December, 2022, it prepared 15 tonnes of the delicacy to meet the demand.
