TasteAtlas, the renowned food guide, recently unveiled its highly anticipated list spotlighting the world's best cuisines, and the results are that Indian cuisine has secured the 11th spot, surpassing culinary giants such as American, Thai, and even Korean fare.

TasteAtlas disclosed a staggering record of 395,205 dishes (271,819 validated) and 115,660 food products (80,863 validated) catalogued throughout the year. "Using these ratings, the top 50 food items per cuisine were identified, and the global standings were formulated based on the average ratings of the best dishes and food products from each country," the website states.

Within TasteAtlas's esteemed compilation of the "100 Best Dishes in the World," four Indian culinary marvels have proudly claimed positions among the top 50. Leading the charge is the sumptuous butter garlic naan, securing an impressive seventh rank with a stellar score of 4.67. Following closely are murgh makhani at 43, tikka at 47, and tandoori at 48.

Italian cuisine reigns supreme with a formidable rating of 4.65, closely trailed by Japanese cuisine also boasting an identical score. Securing third place is Greek cuisine, commanding a respectable rating of 4.64, while Portuguese cuisine clinches the fourth spot with a score of 4.61. Chinese cuisine follows closely behind with a rating of 4.59, claiming the fifth spot. The subsequent rankings feature Indonesian, Mexican, French, Spanish, and Peruvian cuisines.

Indian cuisine's widespread influence across the globe has been substantiated through TasteAtlas's annual reports, which consistently feature prominent Indian dishes. Earlier listings highly regarded shahi paneer, rajma, and vada pav among its various distinguished compilations.
