In his short time there, he had already made a profound impact, earning both love and respect. Massimo Ferretti, Executive Chairman of Aeffe, Moschino's owner, expressed heartfelt condolences to Renne's family and friends.

Renne's appointment at Moschino, just ten days before his passing, had been eagerly anticipated. Hailed by Milan's fashion community, his plans for the upcoming collection next February had generated excitement. His approach to fashion was deeply rooted in the idea that fashion is a dialogue, a poetic expression of life and the world around us.

Prior to his tenure at Moschino, Renne had a notable career at Gucci, joining in 2004 and eventually leading the Women's Design team, overseeing the Fall 2023 collection.

He attributed his journey in fashion to a lifelong fascination that began during his high school days in Tuscany. His formative years at the Polimoda fashion school in Florence instilled in him an unwavering sense of creative freedom. Renne credited his early years in Milan, working under Alessandro Dell’Acqua, as foundational in shaping his path in the industry.

His brief stint at Ruffo Research preceded his influential years at Gucci, where working alongside Alessandro Michele proved transformative, inspiring him to dream big and realize those dreams.

Davide Renne's untimely passing leaves a void in the fashion world, robbing it of a visionary who saw fashion as an art of life, born from creativity and a relentless pursuit of self-discovery.
