Ali Ahmed Aslam, the inventor of Chicken Tikka Masala,  died on Monday at the age of 77

His Shish Mahal restaurant in Glasgow issued a statement saying, “Hey, Shish Snobs...,". “Mr Ali died this morning…”. "Everyone is saddened and heartbroken".

Chicken tikka masala is a popular Indian dish that consists of bite-sized pieces of boneless chicken that have been marinated in yoghurt and spices, then grilled and served in a rich, tomato-based sauce. The sauce is typically made with a blend of aromatic spices, including garam masala, cumin, coriander, and turmeric, and may also include coconut milk or cream. Chicken tikka masala is often served with rice or naan bread and is a popular choice at Indian restaurants worldwide.
