US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has announced that Ned Price will step down as the State Department’s Spokesperson. Vedant Patel who is currently working as the Deputy Spokesperson will assume the interim post of the US State Department’s Spokesperson after Ned Price steps down.
Vedant Patel is an Indian American who was born in Gujarat. His family moved to the US in 1991. He has completed his graduation from the University of California, Riverside and built his expertise in managing media relations and communication for politicians.
Patel has worked in numerous positions in the White House. He has worked as the Assistant Press Secretary and spokesperson for current US President Joe Biden. Patel has also worked on numerous political campaigns including that of Congressman Mike Honda and Congresswoman Pramila Jaypal. Vedant Patel has had a thriving rise in the world of American politics and communication.
