Two ultralight aircraft collided near an aerodrome in Spain, 4 dead

Two ultralight airplanes crashed almost an aerodrome in northeastern Spain on Sunday, killing four travelers, territorial specialists said.

According to the regional government of Catalonia, a witness who witnessed the plane lose altitude and crash alerted firefighters, who discovered one plane on fire in a wooded area near the Moia aerodrome north of Barcelona.

According to a statement, "Firefighters found two lifeless bodies inside the ultralight (plane) once the fire was extinguished."

A second damaged plane with two dead people inside was discovered by firefighters several hours later, approximately 300 meters (984 feet) from the first.

The specialists accept the two airplanes crashed in the air.
