Donald Trump Jr.'s account on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) was hacked, resulting in a series of offensive tweets. One of the tweets falsely announced the death of his father, former President Donald Trump. The tweet claimed that Donald Jr. would be running for president in 2024. However, the 77-year-old former president proved he was alive by sending an unrelated message on his own X rival, Truth Social, more than 20 minutes after the fake death announcement.
Following the initial tweet, several other hacked messages appeared on Donald Jr.'s account. These included inflammatory statements about North Korea and a claim that he had exchanged messages with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Other offensive tweets targeted President Joe Biden and defended crypto personality Richard Heart, who was accused of stealing $12 million from investors. The tweets have since been deleted, and Donald Jr.'s account has been restored. The Trump Organisation has not yet commented on the incident.
